Police have warned people of facing the “full force of the law” for bringing “mindless violence to streets.”

It comes after a man from Farnham admitted to violent disorder when gathering outside Potters International Hotel in Aldershot on July 31.

As previously reported, Perrie Fisher, 29, of Hillside Road, Farnham, pleaded guilty to the offence at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 20.

Although the majority protested outside the hotel in a peaceful manner, Fisher’s behaviour turned violent and he threw objects at the hotel and banged on the doors, according to police.

The court sent the case to Winchester Crown Court and he is expected to be sentenced on Wednesday, August 21, under Operation Early Dawn.

Prosecutors have been trying to fast-track cases of people accused of involvement in the recent riots in parts of the UK. More than 100 have already been sentenced.

Following his guilty plea, assistant chief constable Tara McGovern said Fisher’s case should be a warning and officers are ensuring swift justice is carried out.

“Fisher chose to act in an aggressive manner and his behaviour that day caused fear of violence to those inside the hotel and our officers,” she said.

"This result highlights that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated and it is a clear message that these actions have consequences.

"Our officers conducted a thorough investigation, and worked quickly with the Crown Prosecution Service to ensure swift justice is carried out.

"This should serve as a warning to anyone else considering trying to bring mindless violence to our streets and that the minority who seek to cause disorder will face the full force of the law."
