BASINGSTOKE Buffalo netminder Morgan Parsons has joined the Oxford City Stars, as the Buffs sit out the forthcoming season, writes Graham Merry.
The 20-year-old goalie moves up a level from the Buffs after an impressive campaign which saw him return an excellent 92.1 save percentage rate.
The Welsh-born shot stopper was the back-up for the team, but when starting goalie Dan Weller-Evans was injured, he stepped in and did not disappoint winning seven of the nine games he started.
In his spell in net he recorded the Buffalo’s only shut out of the season in a victory over the Solent Junior Devils.
His fellow netminder last season Dan Weller-Evans said: “This is great news for Morgan has found something for the upcoming season.
“He has shown that he is more than capable of playing over the last two seasons and not just in dead runner games.”
He added: “He has worked really hard this summer off the ice, so I am super exited to see how he gets on in Oxford next season in a higher division. No doubt he will have a good season.”
