THE Ministry of Defence has said it would be "inappropriate" to comment after numerous MoD police vehicles rushed into a car park in Basingstoke earlier this week.

On Tuesday, August 20, at around 2pm, a Gazette reporter witnessed various MoD police vehicles, including Land Rovers and a van rush into the car park outside Tesco at Chineham Shopping Centre.

The Gazette contacted the MoD, who confirmed their presence, but said it would be "inappropriate" to disclose any further details.
