CAN you find a home for this gorgeous two-year-old dog with a "big heart"?

Shadow is a lovable two-year-old Rottweiler with a big heart and an even bigger appetite for love, food and toys, it would love to find a forever home on National Dog Day, Monday, August 26.

This sweet girl is eagerly looking for her forever home, where it can shower her new family with affection.

Shadow came to Dogs Trust Newbury as a stray and although her past is a bit of a mystery, it is clear that it has a lot to offer, and would love to find a future in the right home.

Shadow thrives in a pet-free environment, making it the perfect companion for someone who wants all her love to themselves.

A private garden where Shadow can play and explore would be ideal.

Although it needs to be the only pet in the household, Shadow would likely enjoy meeting some canine friends on walks.

Once settled into a new home, Shadow could be left alone for up to four hours, as long as this time is built up gradually.

Shadow can have a bit of trouble sharing toys, so will need patient adopters who are willing to help develop this skill.

Because of its size and playful nature, a home with children over the age of 14 who can handle a big, friendly dog like Shadow would be best.

Natasha Tarrant, centre manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, said: "Shadow is a fantastic dog with so much potential. She's looking for a special home where she can be the star of the show.

"With the right guidance and plenty of love, we know Shadow will make a loyal and loving companion."
