FOUR M&S cafes across Hampshire, including one in Basingstoke, will host weekly parent and baby meet-ups.
These gatherings, taking place from September 3, form part of the new baby club initiative from the retailer called 'the parent hood'. M&S launched this community via its Sparks loyalty scheme to offer support to expectant parents and those with children under two.
Being held every Tuesday, the event will run from 9.30am to 11.30am and is open to all.
Members, after signing a 'Parent Pledge', will have access to offers such as a free slice of cake with a hot drink purchase every week and a 10 per cent discount on M&S baby grows range for 12 months.
The retailer sells more than 1.1 million baby grows annually, featuring designs with scratch mitts, breathable cotton, and two-way zips. The loyalty scheme also includes curated offers from brands like Mamas & Papas, Pampers, and Piccolo organic baby food.
Rachel Cranwell, M&S regional manager, said: "Our teams cannot wait to launch our new baby and parent meet ups in-store next month. Becoming a parent is a fantastic experience but it’s important to have support and we want the meet ups to really bring together the local community.
"The latest stats show over 12,000 babies are born in a year across Hampshire, so I’m hoping we can raise awareness of the parent hood among all those new parents!
"I’d encourage all parents to be and new parents to take a look, sign up to Sparks and join the club!"
