Residents of Burnaby Close in Basingstoke were startled by the presence of emergency vehicles outside a house.
Onlookers reported seeing two police cars and a fire engine parked on the street on Thursday, August 29, sparking concerns of an ongoing incident.
However, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has now clarified that the activity was not an emergency response.
According to a statement from the fire service, a crew from Basingstoke fire station, accompanied by police officers, attended the property as part of a scheduled community engagement event.
The visit was organised based on a request by Sovereign Housing Association.
The event lasted for approximately one hour.
A spokesperson for fire service said: "A crew from Basingstoke visited a property in Burnaby Close along with police colleagues for a joint community engagement event for one hour this morning, as requested by Sovereign Housing Association."
