A SHOPLIFTER who stole two boxes of chocolates from a Tesco store in Basingstoke has been fined.
Jonathan Moriarty, 46, of Malta Close in Basingstoke, pleaded guilty to stealing two boxes of chocolates to the value of £64 from Tesco in Carpenters Down on June 1.

He was also charged with failing to surrender at Basingstoke police station on July 9 after being released on bail.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court fined him £65 for two offences and ordered to pay £64 compensation.
Moriarty should also pay £26 surcharge and £40 costs.
