Fast-rising Hook tech pioneer Sam Gaskell recently graced two influential platforms, inspiring women in the tech industry.
Sam, the founder of DataFit, a SME data consultancy, participated in a panel discussion at Next Tech Girls' Next Tech Fest event in London on August 21. Here, she was part of a panel comprising three other female founders and CEOs.
They addressed an audience of 50 young women eager to launch a career in technology, sharing their career journey, fielding their questions and providing inspiration.
On the same day, Sam was part of another panel at SheCanCode’s monthly webinar titled, 'Women championing Women: Why & how to lift as you climb?'

The webinar was attended by 60 participants and focused on exhibiting the significance of mutual assistance in technology, offering practical strategies and tips for women in tech.
Sam said: "It was an honour to be asked to sit on the panel for Next Tech Girls and SheCanCode - both events were an amazing chance for women of all ages and roles in tech to come together and discuss not only the challenges but also the opportunities working in the sector can bring.
"I’d like to personally thank Emily Hall-Strutt and Gayle Thompson-Igwebike at Next Tech Girls and Kayleigh Bateman and Alison Simpson at SheCanCode for the opportunity to share my story - their work is inspiring thousands of women in the UK and will be critical to shaping and growing the female presence in STEM roles."
Next Tech Girls is a social enterprise fuelling the ambition of nearly 10,000 young women through physical and online events, with the goal to inspire and bolster the coming generation.
SheCanCode aims to address the tech gender pay gap and is a collaboration of women conducting monthly webinars and events.
