Officers investigating reports that a car, cash and bank cards were stolen during a burglary in Basingstoke have charged a man.
Daniel Malcolm, 46, of no fixed abode, has been charged with burglary dwelling, theft and taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.
Police were called on Wednesday, August 14, after a property in Abbey Road had been accessed.
Items including car and motorbike keys, jewellery, cash and bank cards had been stolen.
A Nissan Qashqai was taken from the address, while stolen bank cards were also used.
Officers from the Northern Area Crime Team launched an investigation and the vehicle was located later that morning on Bennet Close.
A number of enquiries were carried out and officers arrested Malcolm on Sunday, September 1. He has since been charged.
Malcolm has also been charged with three counts of fraud by false representation.
He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Monday, September 2.
