A HAMPSHIRE charity which rescues dogs from Portugal and the UK will take part in a unique day for pooches and their owners.

DogsnHomes Rescue, the Fleet-based charity, will participate at the Aldershot Lido Dog Day.

The event, spread over two days, September 7 and September 8, will have separate sessions from 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm, and a newly introduced time slot from 4pm-6pm.

Owners and dogs can look forward to paddling together at Aldershot Lido.

DogsnHomes Rescue will have a dedicated stall to discuss doggy issues, emphasise the importance of dog adoption, and offer advice.

The charity will also host a Pirate Ship Photo Booth wherein attendees can have selfies with their dogs.

Gary Baxter, co-founder of DogsnHomes Rescue, said: "We’re delighted to be part of Aldershot Lido Dog Day again for 2024. It’s a fantastic event and one you won’t want to miss. Lots of DogsnHomes Rescue dogs will be attending with their adopters. We're excited to see them again, as well as making lots of new friends on the day.

"We’ll be promoting our work rescuing dogs in Portugal and the UK. We will be also sharing information about our work in Ukraine where we’ve sent an amazing 250,000 kg of aid for abandoned dogs and cats. Please join us if you can."
