A MAN has been jailed after stealing items worth more than £150 from supermarkets in Fleet and Aldershot.
Stuart Austin, 49, of Alexandra Road, Alton, stole gin worth £168 from Sainsbury's in Fleet on August 16.
He also stole items worth £26.50 from the Co-op store on Lower Farnham Road, Aldershot, on August 28. This included cleaning products.
Austin was charged with two counts of theft from a shop and pleaded guilty to both offences.
He was jailed for a total of 12 weeks at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on August 30.
