Ukrainian-British Support for Ukrainians in Basingstoke (UBSUB) hosted a special community event to celebrate Ukraine's 33rd Independence anniversary.
In collaboration with Basingstoke Voluntary Action and Basingstoke Discovery Centre, the event took place in Festival Place on Saturday, August 24.
There were two zones aimed at the community and children.
In the community zone on the ground floor, UBSUB handed out sunflowers, each tagged with an inspiring quote from a famous Ukrainian figure, to thank the British community for their ongoing support.

The flowers were generously donated by the Rotherwick Patch.
A prominent feature was a large banner where parents and children could leave handprints, tie blue and yellow ribbons, and write down phrases associated with Ukraine.
The first floor hosted children's activities such as cookie decorating and hand or face painting.
A 'tea time' was held afterwards, honouring volunteers and organisations with certificates to acknowledge their contributions.
As the event concluded, attendees united in singing the Ukrainian anthem, marking an emotional moment.
A UBSUB spokesperson said: "Events like this are a fantastic way to unite the community and create meaningful connections."
They remain committed to their objective of integrating Ukrainians into the local community, promoting their culture, and fostering cooperation.
