A girl has escaped unhurt after being approached by a knife-wielding boy in Basingstoke.
Police said they received a report that, at about 7.25pm on Sunday, September 1, a male approached a 12-year-old girl in Shakespeare Road, Popley.
According to police, the girl noticed the teenager, who appeared to be around 13-years-old, carrying a small knife.
She quickly fled the scene and was unharmed.
The boy is described as white, wearing a balaclava with a skull design, a red T-shirt, dark tracksuit bottoms, and carrying a small bag.
Police are 'actively investigating' the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
