A HISTORIC pub in Hook has reopened after undergoing an extensive refurbishment.
The White Hart Hotel, in London Road, has once again opened its doors to customers after four weeks of work which saw the pub fitted with new furniture and an expanded dining space in addition to the bar being refreshed.
The establishment's menu has been updated to reflect the change, with the addition of a number of dishes including chicken schnitzel, rainbow lasagne, a cheese and bacon burger and steaks.

The 16th-century building, formerly a coaching inn, was built to service the Basingstoke to Hartford bridge route in 1419.
The pub was named after King Richard II made it mandatory for pubs to display identifying signs outside in the 14th century. The White Hart refers to the King's personal badge.
Linda Bowman, general manager at the establishment said: “We’re thrilled to welcome guests, both familiar faces and new friends, to experience our pub’s new look, whilst keeping the cosy feel of the White Hart Hotel we all know and love.
“There have been numerous changes and refurbishments over the White Hart Hotel’s 600-year history and the refurbishment sees Ember Inns continue the story.
"The new look reflects the fascinating history of the White Hart Hotel, allowing the pub to continue to serve the local community and hotel guests well beyond its 600th birthday.”
