A man from Odiham has been banned for a year for driving a car when the proportion of a controlled drug in his blood exceeded the specified limit.

Edward Hancock, 38, of Recreation Road, pleaded guilty to driving a Black Kia Rio on A287 in Hook on March 2 when he had 8.4mg/L of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood.

The specified limit is 2mg/L.

Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court disqualified him from driving for 12 months.

Hancock should also pay £400 fine, £160 surcharge, and £85 costs.
