Students from Stagecoach Performing Arts schools globally, including Basingstoke, recently wowed audiences at the G Live Theatre in Guildford.
Performing an impressive rendition of Bring It On: The Musical, the two-day show was part of Stagecoach's annual Summer Showcase.
The performances, held on two matinees and two evenings, took place following a two-week intensive summer rehearsal programme that kicked off in early August.
Guided by a professional team, including director Gary Jerry, choreographer Daniel Todd, and musical director Billy Bullivant, the 73 students aged 11 to 18 had the chance to bond with their peers and leaders and focus on their theatre skills.

Gary said: "It has been an absolute pleasure to work with such an enthusiastic group of young performers. They are extremely motivated and professional and have displayed an incredible range of performing arts talent, whilst having fun and bonding with their peers throughout the two-week rehearsal workshop. The performances were a fantastic display of talent and community, and I couldn’t be prouder of them."
This iconic stage event has been held since 1991 and is one of Stagecoach's highlights, with many students returning year after year to participate.
After the previous year’s successful production of Grease, the returnees and newcomers were thrilled to tackle the contemporary work of Bring It On: The Musical.

The play, revolving around two cheerleading squads, not only gave the students a chance to demonstrate their acting abilities, but also their cheerleading skills developed during their rehearsals, presenting them a whole new challenge to conquer.
It also serves as a life-changing experience for the young performers, equipping them with skills and courage they can apply to all areas of their lives, not only their performing careers. Over the last 35 years, Stagecoach has helped more than one million students to unlock their creative potential.
With a network of more than 60,000 students and more than 3,000 performing arts schools around the world, Stagecoach helps young people to grow into well-rounded individuals, ready to tackle all of life's exciting opportunities.
