A CAMERA club in Basingstoke has raised more than £4,000 for charity after running a national photography competition.
Basingstoke Camera Club raised the funds through its annual 'open exhibition' which invites photographers from across the UK to enter pictures they have taken in a range of categories including people, nature, landscapes and more.
Club president, Simon Williams, presented money raised from the competition's entry fees to St Michael's Hospice at a member's meeting on Thursday, September 5.

The club donated £3,250 to the charity, which supports people across North Hampshire who have a life-limiting illness, are facing the end of life or experiencing bereavement.
Former president of the club, Philip Young, presented a cheque for £750 to the Olibob Arts Foundation, based in Tadley.
The charity works to ensure that all children have access to the performing arts, by providing grants or bursaries for drama or theatre projects in England and Wales.
Engagement fundraiser for St Michael's Hospice, Louise Gough, said: "Donations such as Basingstoke Camera Clubs are essential for the Hospice to continue to provide care and services throughout the Basingstoke and surrounding area."
Sue Williams, Chair of Trustees of the Olibob Arts Foundation, said: "We are so grateful for this donation, which will enable us to give more young people access to music and drama to help them develop key life skills and confidence as they prepare for adult life."
