AN award-winning tearoom in Viables is set to expand after the business announced the opening of a second cafe in Basingstoke.
The Parlour Tearoom at Viables Craft Centre will open another location in Worting Road in a unit previously occupied by farm shop Cobbs before its closure in May 2023 due to increasing running costs.
The cafe was established back in 2010 and experienced a change of ownership in March 2017 when mother and daughter Lucy and Sharon Fisher took over the business, converting it into a tearoom.

In addition to serving homemade cake, lunch and traditional English afternoon teas, the second location will also include a gift shop by sister Laura Fisher offering luxury homeware and home fragrances.
The 26-year-old will also host specialist workshops in candle and perfume making at a fragrance school housed in the barn, set to open in November.
The new venue, named The Parlour Tea Barn, will feature a 'true rustic twist' according to Lucy.
She added: "We’ve received so much love and support for The Parlour Tearoom, and opening a second location, feels like a natural next step.
"It’s a chance to bring everything people love about the original tearoom into a brand new, countryside-inspired setting and blend both our family businesses together as sisters, and mother and daughters."
Lucy added that the site is currently undergoing extensive reservations in preparation for the Tea Barn's opening in early 2025.

In a post made on the tearoom's Facebook account, Lucy said the family has been 'completely blown away' by the response they have received since announcing the opening.
She explained that the excitement of customers has 'reassured' the business that the expansion 'means just as much to you as it does to us'.
"We've received offers of plastering, carpentry and painting as well as donations of furniture and vintage china, and so many requests to join our team. Your outpouring of love and support has left us beyond grateful.
"We can’t wait to take you along on this journey as we create a true destination that we hope you will all love," she concluded.
