A NEW 28-bedroom Neuro Rehabilitation Centre is opening in Basingstoke next week, creating 50 jobs.

The Hamberley Neurocare service, on Bradley Way, Beggarwood, will provide care services for people with complex neurological conditions.

"Our commitment to excellence and personalised care will be evident in every aspect of our service and our launch party will be a reflection of everything that makes our service so special.”

MP Luke Murphy will be the guest of honour at the opening of the town’s new state-of-the art neurological rehabilitation centre. Mr Murphy will declare the leading-edge specialist care centre officially open at a VIP party on September 18.

He said: “I want people in Basingstoke to have access to the very best health care so I’m delighted to be able to open this new centre which will provide badly needed rehabilitative care, respite and palliative care for people with brain injuries and neurodegenerative conditions.

"I very much hope the centre will be able to provide care for all those that need it as well as providing and supporting local jobs."

Gill added: "It will be wonderful to have Luke cut the ribbon for us on our new service.

"The party will be a real celebration of the great work that will be undertaken at Hamberley Neurocare, and it will be lovely to meet all the local dignitaries, families and members of the wider Basingstoke community."

Hamberley Neurocare Basingstoke will provide rehabilitation, long-term, respite and palliative care for people with brain injuries and neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease.

Also confirmed for the launch party is the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Cllr Dan Putty. Doors open at 12pm with the ribbon cutting at 1pm.

From delicious food and refreshing drinks to engaging entertainment, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

The purpose-built facility is ideally located to support the nearby Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust.

The arrival of Hamberley Neurocare in Basingstoke has meant the creation of 50 new jobs for the town, including more than 14 clinical roles.
