Overton came alive with wagging tails, smiling faces, and a sense of community as the highly anticipated Fun Dog Show and Fete took place over the weekend.

The event, at the T&T Pet Field and Cafe on Saturday, September 14, was organised by Maggs Steward, drew a crowd of dog lovers, families, and local businesses, all eager to enjoy a day out in the sun with their furry companions.

From 11am to 3pm, attendees were treated to a vibrant mix of activities, with the dog show being the highlight of the day.

More than 50 dogs participated in the show, while Chester, the adorable West Highland White Terrier and event mascot, sat out the competition to avoid any favouritism.

But that didn’t stop him from cheering on his fellow contestants, tail wagging with enthusiasm from the sidelines.

In addition to the dog show, the Fete featured 25 local stalls offering everything from dog treats to handmade crafts.

For the human guests, the cafe served up a delicious selection of food, while a licensed bar offered refreshing drinks for adults.

Meanwhile, Trevor the Puppy Slide was a huge hit with the little ones, ensuring fun for all ages.
