PLANS to demolish farm buildings and create multiple five-bedroom houses have been submitted.
If successful, three five-bedroom detached properties, with carports and access driveways would be built on the land at Monts Farm, Church Road, Baughurst.
The land is currently marked for equestrian use, and as such, has a stable and existing farm building that would need to be demolished if the application is successful.
The application, which was submitted to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council on Tuesday, August 27 and validated on Wednesday, September 11, reads: "Change of land use from equestrian to residential with the erection of three, five-bedroom detached dwellings with carports and access driveway, following the demolition of the existing farm outbuildings.

"The site is located at the southern end of Baughurst, to the south-west of Tadley in Browninghill Green.
"The site is surrounded by farms, small holdings, existing dwellings including new dwellings of which some are under construction, and some are finished, and is located on Church Road, which is accessed from Baughurst Road.
"Monts Farm is an ‘old’ farm that is currently being used for keeping horses as a small holding but is in the process of being sold to the applicant for re-development.
"Many of the existing stable buildings and outbuildings are functional but in disrepair and unsightly. The land is generally untidy and not in keeping with the surrounding well-kept dwellings, small holdings and farms."
