A Basingstoke man has been told to pay compensation for dumping car tyres in a public place.
Kevin Smethurst, 57, of Brighton Hill, pleaded guilty to knowingly depositing five tyres from a White Suzuki Alto at The Recreation Ground on The Street in Old Basing on January 14.
He was fined £200 and ordered to pay a compensation of £132.
