The Ivy Club in Old Basing celebrated its 65th anniversary with a cream tea and birthday bingo.
The group was set up in 1959 as a welfare group offering a hot meal once a month to the elderly residents of Old Basing.
Today, not only do the 62 members come from some of the surrounding villages but also from Basingstoke. People are eligible to join if they are 65 or older.
The group meets weekly at the Royal British Legion, Old Basing where they offer varied social activities and companionship, their weekly fees are £2 for entrance, refreshments and a raffle.
Sue Wilson, chairman of The Ivy Club, said: "Included in their activities are quiz afternoons, book and jigsaw exchange, bingo, fish and chip luncheons and they have just been on their annual seaside trip to Weymouth and the sun shone all day."
