AN inquest has opened into the death of a Bristol man who died following a collision near Basingstoke.
Nicholas Charles James, 69, of Springfield Avenue, Bristol, was riding an electric bicycle on the A339/Hackwood Road when he was involved in a collision with a motor vehicle on August 3.
Mr James was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where he underwent a CT scan and was placed on life-support.

He was then transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol to be closer to family - life support was withdrawn on August 28, with Mr James dying that day.
The inquest into his death was opened at Winchester Coroners' Court on Wednesday, September 25 by senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson.
Mr Wilkinson said that the cause of Mr James's death is as yet unascertained.
The full inquest will take place on September 4 next year.
