A BASINGSTOKE man has been charged with racially aggravated assault and criminal damage in Basingstoke following an incident on Monday, September 23.
Police were called at 1.39pm on September 23 to a report that a man in his 40s had been threatened and assaulted in Millard Close, Oakridge.
Another man, aged in his 50s, was also assaulted. A car wing mirror was also damaged during the incident.

Officers attended the scene and made an arrest.
Jay Sleator, 35, of Attwood Close, Basingstoke, has now been charged with racially / religiously aggravated common assault / beating and racially / religiously aggravated intentional harassment / alarm / distress.
He has also been charged with common assault, two counts of criminal damage, assault by beating of an emergency worker and obstructing / resisting a constable in execution of duty.
Sleator is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (25 September).
