A NEW bowling alley, complete with soft play, darts and shuffleboard is opening in Festival Place next year.
Following a recent promise of an "exciting announcement," Festival Place has revealed that Superbowl UK will be opening a new entertainment area in the upper levels of Basingstoke's flagship shopping centre.
In addition to this, a new buffet restaurant, Hans Buffet, will open next door to Superbowl UK, transforming the vacant top floor after several years of shop closures.
Superbowl UK will bring 10 bowling lanes, soft play, interactive darts, shuffleboard, and a SEGA Prize Zone to the destination, and is due to open in summer 2025.

The new entertainment area will also include a restaurant serving classic diner food and a bar with a premium alcoholic range and soft drinks.
To add further diversity to Festival Place’s casual dining offer, Hans Buffet will also join the centre, in the unit adjacent to Superbowl UK.
Superbowl UK and Hans Buffet will be located opposite the Apple store and are the latest signings following Slim Chickens, Boswells, Chopstix, Rituals and Sostrene Grene.
Sian Fisher, Festival Place's marketing manager, said: "We’re so excited to welcome Superbowl UK and Hans Buffet to the FP family.
"Adding these two brands to our already extensive list of leisure facilities in the heart of Basingstoke will have great benefit to the destination and draw families and groups of friends from near and far into the centre."
Kate Quaintance, acquisitions director at Superbowl UK, added: "Superbowl UK is one of the UK’s most loved entertainment concepts, operating all over the country and building an incredible fanbase.
"We are family-friendly but everyone will be able to find something here to enjoy, and it’s that appeal to a broad demographic that made our decision to open at Festival Place.
"Our visitor demographics align, which gives us the confidence of being successful here, and also hopefully introducing customers from further afield to Festival Place and all it has to offer, because we know from experience people will travel to enjoy an evening at Superbowl UK.”
Superbowl UK first opened its doors in 2012 and now operates in 13 venues across the UK, with another branch due to open in Aldershot this autumn.
