The first homes in the next phase of Bellway’s Longfield Place development in Sherfield on Loddon will go on sale in October.

Phase two at Longfield Place will bring a further 57 properties to the site off Reading Road, where Bellway has already completed 150 homes in phase one.

Construction work on the second phase, which is located to the east of the previous phase, began in March this year and is due to be completed by the end of 2025.

The 57 additional properties will comprise 34 homes for private sale, including a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses, as well as 23 affordable homes for local people through low-cost rent or shared ownership.

Jon Rance, sales manager at Bellway Wessex, said: “Longfield Place has proved to be a very popular development, with all but 13 of the 90 homes for private sale in the first phase now sold. This second phase of properties will enable us to continue meeting the demand for high-quality new-build homes in this much sought-after location.

“As with the previous phase, the majority of homes will be two and three-bedroom properties to cater for the specific needs of the local market. These will be complemented by a selection of four-bedroom detached houses for larger families, overlooking woodland and open spaces, as well as a number of one-bedroom apartments which form part of the affordable housing provision.”

As part of its wider commitment to the area, Bellway supported the Sherfield on Loddon Beer Festival 2024. The event, featured up to 40 real ales and ciders along with gin and Prosecco.

Bellway’s £300 donation has been used to fund a marquee where a collection of local bands entertained the crowds with live music.

Jon said: “We are very proud to support the Sherfield on Loddon Beer Festival 2024. Despite the focus on beer, it is a real family event which brings the whole community together in a friendly and fun environment. We hope the bands playing in the marquee which we have funded put on a great show for festival goers to enjoy.”
