A POPULAR bakery chain is opening a new branch in Kingsclere.
Signs have gone up to say Greggs is ‘coming soon’ to Kingsclere Service Station on the A339.
Plans were approved by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in December 2022 for Wyeth Projects Services to extend the forecourt shop building at the service station with a ‘food to go’ area, storeroom and accessible toilet.

The building is currently occupied by Budgens.
The planning statement said: “The extension will provide space for new additional walk-in chiller and freezer units together with better merchandising storage options.”
The services, which includes a petrol station, used to have a Little Chef restaurant which closed in 2001 before reopening at Nelson’s Diner which is now closed.
Greggs has been asked for further information about the branch including when it is opening.
