A man who assaulted and harassed a woman has been given a community order.
David Caddy, 43, of Beggarwood in Basingstoke, pleaded guilty to assault by beating a woman in Odiham on May 6.
He also damaged a light switch and a door at the property in Odiham on May 6.
Caddy also pleaded guilty to harassing her without violence between June 9 and 22 by repeatedly sending messages to her despite being told the contact was unwanted.
He was also charged with possession of a quantity of cannabis and cannabis resin on May 6.
Following the guilty plea, Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court gave him a community order for rehabilitation activity for 30 days.
He should undertake 220 hours of unpaid work to be completed within 12 months.
Caddy should also pay £85 costs.
He is ordered not to contact the victim directly or indirectly, or enter the Odiham area where the attack happened.
The court also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the controlled drug.
