Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a cannabis factory near Basingstoke.
Officers were called to the Rockbourne Road area in Sherfield-on-Loddon at around 3.30am on Wednesday, October 2, following reports of suspicious activity.
Police attended the scene and spotted the driver of a Toyota RAV4 acting suspiciously.
Moments later, a crash took place involving the Toyota and two parked cars on Otterbourne Walk. A man then made off from the scene.
As part of their enquiries, officers then searched a property on Rockbourne Road and located more than 100 cannabis plants in various stages of growth.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in production of a controlled drug of Class B and abstracting/using electricity without authority.
He remains in custody while enquiries continue.
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the suspicious activity.
