A man has been charged with shoplifting offences after items worth more than £1,000 were stolen from two shops in Basingstoke.
Glyn Watmore, 46, of Freemantle Close, Basingstoke, has been charged with 10 counts of theft from a shop.
It comes after officers received reports that food items worth a total of £1,050.20 were stolen from the One Stop on Shakespeare Road and the M&S store in Chineham.
The items were stolen on 10 separate occasions between August 19 and September 27.
Watmore is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 8.
