A fire broke out at Basingstoke Ice Rink on Tuesday afternoon, October 8, leading to the evacuation of the centre and the cancellation of all scheduled courses.
It is believed that the fire originated in one of the rink's sodium lights, causing an electrical short circuit.
Multiple fire engines from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIOWFRS) responded to the incident.
The rink is expected to remain closed until further notice.
Fire crews have just left the scene, and the situation is under control.
Updates on the reopening of the ice rink will be provided as they become available.
A HIOWFRS spokesperson confirmed that it was a small fire in a light fitting and it was extinguished as soon as the firefighters arrived and they left following an end call.
