The annual Basingstoke Variety Show lit up The Anvil on Saturday, October 5, as it delivered an evening of stunning performances to a packed house. 

With more than 320 local performers taking part, there was something for everyone - from music and dance to comedy and sketches, the diverse lineup kept the audience thoroughly entertained while raising funds for the Mayor’s Charity Appeal. 

Hosted by Richard Bond and Paul Morris, the event drew widespread praise for its range of talent.

Local acts, including the Pumpkin Pantos Theatre Company's founder Josh Dixon—whose performance as the 'Dame' had the crowd in stitches—proved to be major highlights.

The Sing Now Choir also amazed the audience with their powerful vocal performances, adding to an already impressive lineup.

Other performers included Cold Toast, Basingstoke Amateur Theatrical Society (BATS), Dance Phaze, Nupura School of Arts, Alex Kotecki-King, Lynden School of Dance and Acrobatics, BVS Dance Squad, Nainika Manjunath, Junk Jodie, Dancing Diamonds, Jess Gill, Basingstoke Camera Club, Jazzy Clarke and Ellie Moore, Millie Cameron, and the House Band.

Also taking to the stage were local school choirs, who filled the auditorium with a heartwarming blend of youthful energy and harmony, much to the delight of parents and attendees alike.

Each act brought their own unique flair, keeping the energy high throughout the evening.

With many standout performances across the evening, the event concluded with a spectacular group finale involving all cast members with proceeds going to the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Cllr Dan Putty’s charity appeal, the night was not only an entertainment success but also a meaningful way to give back to the community.
