A CRASH on the A303 forced the closure of a major road in Basingstoke.
The crash happened at around 8.30pm last night, Wednesday, October 9, on the A303 eastbound near Basingstoke Crematorium.
Emergency services were in attendance and police closed the road from Basingstoke Crematorium to Junction 7 of the M3 eastbound.

At the time of the crash, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary posted on X: "We are currently attending a collision on the A303 eastbound where it joins the M3 and have had to close a road while emergency services respond.
"As part of our response, we have closed the A303 from Basingstoke Crematorium to Junction 7 of the M3 eastbound."
The Gazette has contacted emergency services for a comment.
