A MAN who attempted to sexually communicate with a child will be sentenced at crown court next month.
Robert Strachan, 38, of no fixed abode is charged with attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child under 16 for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification between November 15 and 28, last year.
Stracham pleaded guilty to the charge at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 10.
Prosecuting, Kerry Richardson told a three-member panel of magistrates that Strachan tried to communicate with a 13-year-old child.
He will be sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on November 29.
Defending, Trudi Burlton said Strachan has no previous convictions and requested the court that a pre-sentence report be prepared before the sentencing day.
He has been released on unconditional bail until the sentencing day.
