PROSPECTIVE teachers or those considering a career in the field can attend an event to learn about a new programme being launched in the town.

A 'Train to Teach' information event is being held at Bishop Challoner Catholic School to encourage those interested in a career teaching and "wanting to make a difference" to the lives of children in Basingstoke's schools.

The i2i teacher training programme is highly supportive, with a dedicated team to guide and support trainees throughout their time on the programme.

Readers who would like to find out more about training to teach with The Basingstoke Alliance SCITT and i2i Teaching Partnership can attend the event, which will be held on Tuesday, November 5.
