A LONG-established teacher training provider has joined with another partnership to help nurture a new generation of "thriving, passionate and confident" teachers in Basingstoke.
The Basingstoke Alliance SCITT has joined forces with the Ofsted Outstanding i2i Teaching Partnership to "further strengthen" their excellence in offering highly supportive teacher training for aspiring teachers across Hampshire and the South East.
Established in 2014, the Basingstoke Alliance SCITT helps to train new teachers in the latest research-informed teaching.
Using a "unique, human first" approach to teacher training has helped trainees develop into passionate and confident teachers.

The i2i school-based teacher training programme enables trainees to gain their PGCE and QTS at a local school.
From day one, trainees are in the classroom three days a week, with two days a week of professional studies at the Basingstoke Training Hub in Queen Mary’s College.
Trainees who are interested in working with children with special needs or SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) are offered training in a specialist setting which is unique to Basingstoke Alliance SCITT and i2i as part of the programme.
Dr Kelly Woodford-Richens, Basingstoke Teacher Training Centre director, said: "Our local area is fortunate to be home to so many great schools with whom we have excellent relationships.
"We have worked with these schools for many years, with many of their teachers having been trained by us.
"We have unique research-informed teacher training that keeps students at the heart of everything we do, with our ‘human-first’ approach.
"Furthermore, we offer unique opportunities to train in specialist settings, if you would like to do so.
"We give you the tools and a love of teaching so that you start your career thriving, passionate and confident about making a difference."
