The current home of Go Outdoors in Basingstoke has been put up for leasehold sale following the business' planned relocation to the former John Lewis site at Basing View.
The unit at Gaston's Wood, which has served as a key retail space for the outdoor gear retailer since it opened in 2009, is now being marketed by real estate agents Morgan Williams.
This comes amid Go Outdoors’ expansion plans, which include taking over the large retail space vacated by John Lewis in 2021.
The new premises in Basing View is expected to provide increased floor space and an enhanced shopping experience for customers.

The proposal to change the signage at the Basing View store to reflect Go Outdoors’ branding is currently under review by the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
Go Outdoors, owned by JD Sports, has more than 90 stores across the UK, with locations in major cities including Southampton, Manchester, and Cambridge.
The company’s Gaston's Wood branch, which opened in 2009, has long been a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a wide range of products including camping gear, hiking equipment, and clothing.
The unit is situated in a strategic location with easy access to Basingstoke's residential and commercial hubs.
The exact date for the closure of the Gaston's Wood store has not been confirmed, and Go Outdoors has not yet announced when its new store at Basing View will officially open.
