A Basingstoke woman has been fined and ordered to surrender her XL Bully dog for destruction after pleading guilty to owning a fighting dog.
Debbie Povey, 60, of Gregory Close, pleaded guilty before Basingstoke Magistrates' Court for possession of an XL Bully dog, named Harley, in violation of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
The court issued a destruction order for Harley and fined Povey £80. She was also ordered to pay compensation of £669.54.
