Basingstoke residents will soon have a new way to enjoy their daily caffeine fix as Jane Ewing, an entrepreneur, launches her mobile coffee business with a twist.

Taking on a franchise with Really Awesome Coffee, Jane is set to bring gourmet espresso coffees, smoothies, frappes, and a wide range of hot and cold snacks to various parts of the town—directly from her custom-fitted van.

“I’m really excited to launch my new venture,” said Jane, who is based in Chineham.

“I’ll be starting next week, and I can’t wait to hit the streets and meet everyone. My Mercedes Vito is fully equipped to serve a range of delicious hot drinks, from espresso to iced coffees, and everything in between. Plus, there will be a variety of snacks and treats for everyone to enjoy.”

It marks a significant career shift for Jane, who previously worked for 30 years in retail, including as a regional manager for companies like Toys R Us and Card Factory.

After years in management roles, Jane decided it was time for a change that allowed her more flexibility and a chance to interact with the local community.

“I’ve always enjoyed hospitality, and running my own business has been a dream,” she said.

“This coffee van gives me the chance to balance my work with my family life and meet great people along the way.”

Jane has spent the last few weeks training intensively with the Really Awesome Coffee franchise and is now eager to hit the road.

Her plan includes visiting local businesses and events, giving Basingstoke residents the chance to enjoy high-quality coffee without stepping into a cafe.

“I’ve mapped out local businesses where I’ll start building my route, but I’ll also be attending events and popping up wherever people request me,” Jane said.

“If you see me driving around, you can always grab a coffee by giving me a call from the number on the side of the van.”

With training completed and support from the franchise, Jane is ready to kickstart her coffee rounds next week.

“I’m nervous, but also really excited,” she said.
