A Christmas show is set to bring festive cheer to Basingstoke.
The Albion Christmas Band will perform at The Haymarket on Tuesday, December 12, as part of their 25th anniversary tour.
Known for their seasonal mixture of traditional carols, spoken word and humorous readings, the band has become a staple for many in the UK.
The group consists of Simon Nicol, founder member of Fairport Convention; Kellie While, known for her work with The Albion Band; Simon Care, Edward II; and Ashley Hutchings MBE, the founder of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and The Albion Band.
Each member brings their unique talents to the stage, creating a blend of traditional English Christmas music, song, and celebratory readings.

While, also praised for her solo work, takes a break from performing with her mother, Chris While, to join the band.
She has also received personal praise from Ron Sexsmith for her beautiful version of his song Riverbed on her album Tenacious, which put her on the map as one this country’s finest voices.
Care, known for his passion for traditional English dance and song, is currently working with Banter but also performs with The DUB-Liners, Tickled Pink and the Morris On Band.
Nicol, regarded as one of the finest acoustic guitarists in the world, adds his special touch to the group's performances.
This year, The Albion Christmas Band will perform a "best of the Albion Xmas" selection, chosen from the last 25 years of their shows and albums.

The band, described as "the perfect antidote to the corporate Christmas" by The Guardian, is renowned for its sell-out tours across the UK.
They have performed at venues such as Buxton Opera House, The New Vic Stoke and The Sage, Gateshead.
The Albion Christmas Show was also voted as "one of the top 10 unmissable shows this Christmas" by The Telegraph in 2018.
The band's popularity spans all ages, making their show a perfect start to the festive season.
