A BASINGSTOKE woman will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the number of burpees completed in an hour.
Jitka Hall will try to break the current record, held by athlete Britteny Cali from Pompano Beach in Florida of 841 chest-to-ground burpees for a female in one hour.
The 47-year-old has a passion for sport, previously being crowned as the European Champion in JiuJitsu in addition to receiving a gold medal for both the world and European championships for biathlon.

She also completed the Basingstoke Half Marathon, held on Sunday, October 6, finishing the course across the town in second place, with no prior training.
The attempt will see Jitka, who is from Czechia but lives in Basingstoke with her partner and two children, complete the move, a pushup followed by a leap in the air, as many times as possible.
The challenge will be held at Fitness First gym in Chineham Business Park on Saturday, October 26, and will be certified by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Lee Dyson, who trains at the gym and has taken classes with Jitka, says they hope that she will be able to complete 'somewhere in the region of 900' burpees in the time frame.
He added: "Jitka is thrilled, fully focussed and not underestimating the challenge of this world record attempt.
"If anyone can do it she can."
