A group of dedicated athletes are set to compete in an international event in Florida.
The team, named Venom X, from the Wolverines Cheer Academy (WCA), secured their place for the international finals after their performance at a national event in the UK.
Venom X are the only non-tumble team from the Basingstoke club, and the sole level 3 non-tumble team from the UK, to qualify.
The group of athletes, aged between 16 and 26, have spent years perfecting their skills in the hope of competing in Florida.
They are now fundraising to help finance the trip.
The team recently participated in a 10km sponsored walk, where they also litter-picked along the route.
The girls were photographed at Eastrop Park, holding a stunt pose with the rubbish they collected.
Their next fundraising event, a ladies' fashion show, is scheduled for Saturday, November 9, from 4pm to 7.30pm at the Loddon Indoor Bowling Centre in Basingstoke's Leisure Park.
The fashion show, organised in collaboration with Colours, will feature high-street brands and a pop-up shop with up to 70 per cent discounts.
Several stalls will also be present to provide a full shopping experience, complete with snacks and a bar.
Tickets are priced at £6 each or £20 for five.
Katie Clarke, one of the team’s coaches, said: "We're delighted to have this opportunity to take Venom X to Florida as one of our four ‘travel teams’ to compete in such a prestigious event.
"This is a fantastic achievement for the athletes and one that many of them would have been dreaming of ever since they started in the sport.
"They are working incredibly to improve their skills so that their routine can be more difficult and with strong technique.
"If anyone would like to support us on our journey across the pond, whether by fundraising or sponsorship, please get in touch as we would love to hear from you.
"Any support is very greatly appreciated."
