PASSENGERS at Basingstoke station are facing disruption with trains being cancelled and delayed due to animals on the train tracks.
The disruption, which is expected to continue until 5pm, is caused by animals on the railway between Basingstoke and Reading, according to National Rail.
"Trains may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 30 minutes between these stations," says the rail company.
Those travelling on CrossCountry services are advised that trains may be diverted during Guildford and that tickets will be accepted on the following services:
- Avanti West Coast between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly via Birmingham New Street
- Great Western Railway via any reasonable route
- London Northwestern Railway between London Euston and Birmingham New Street
- London Underground between London Waterloo and London Euston
- South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Basingstoke
Passengers can also use their tickets on South Western Railway services between Reading and Basingstoke via Farnborough.
