WITH Halloween scarily close, many are wondering where the best place is to go trick or treating.

A strong contender for Basingstoke's top location is the Halloween Trail in Tadley, Baughurst and Pamber Heath, taking place until the evening of Friday, November 1.

Dozens of houses are taking part in the event, promising scares, sweets and plenty of pumpkins.

The trail was up in 2020 by mother Bobie Jones to ensure that Halloween would go forward for children in the area, as the outside trail wouldn’t be affected by Covid restrictions.

In addition to ensuring children didn't miss out on the spooky holiday, the trail also works to raise money for a charity each year.

For 2024, all funds raised from the sales of maps and donations will go towards opening an education provision in the area for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Thriveology Wellness CIC was set up by Bobie after 14 years of working in the education sector.

The company's services cater to children and their families from primary school age to young adults, offering a variety of support programs including workshops, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and more.

Maps showing all of the houses on the route will be available to purchase from the Starbucks inside the Mulfords Hill Sainsbury's, and the Gourmet Queen's Cafe in Baughurst for £2. Alternatively, participants can email bobie@thriveology.co.uk
