Basingstoke’s nightlife is set for a thrilling relaunch tonight as Labyrinth, the town’s newest nightclub, opens its doors following an impressive £500,000 refurbishment.

Located at 26 Winchester Street, the revamped venue brings new life to the space previously occupied by Fever and Boutique Nightclub, which closed amid Covid-19 restrictions.

Take a look at the pictures above to see the stunning transformation inside this three-level venue, which has been completely reimagined by Epic Bars and Club to be Basingstoke's premier nightlife destination.

With a massive Halloween grand opening on Thursday, October 31, at 9.30pm the venue promises to be a new hub for Basingstoke clubgoers, and this weekend will mark a full-scale celebration with a two-day launch party on Friday and Saturday, November 1-2.

Epic Bars and Club director Duncan Squires said: “We are thrilled to be bringing our Epic brand of magic to Basingstoke. We’ve got something truly extraordinary planned for this venue, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve created.”

Having managed more than 50 nightclub launches across the UK, Mr Squires is confident that Labyrinth will redefine the late-night experience for the town.

After Labyrinth’s launch, he plans to move on to another nightclub opening in Taunton.

The new venue offers an expansive layout with three levels and two distinct clubrooms, each with its own DJ.

With around 50 staff on board, including security personnel and four DJs on rotation, Labyrinth has invested in a team ready to deliver a seamless experience for guests.

A private test run was held on Wednesday, October 30, for friends and family, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

The venue's reimagining is part of a broader shift in Basingstoke’s nightlife culture, and Labyrinth is well-positioned to lead the way with a modern guest list and VIP system available for its launch weekend.

The new nightclub breathes new life into a space with a storied history.

Originally occupied by Italian restaurant Café Piccolo, the site briefly operated as a nightclub under the name Zeus before becoming Fever and Boutique in 2016.

During the pandemic, the venue tried operating as a bar under restrictive conditions, but the late-night industry’s return has finally allowed for a full revival and renovation.
