POLICE are investigating the cause of a man's leg injuries after he was found hurt on a road late at night in a Hampshire town.
The man, in his 20s, was discovered in the road on Basing View, Basingstoke, just after midnight on the evening of November 2.
Hypotheses include a car collision or an assault, but police are still uncertain as to the cause of the injuries, and have launched an appeal to find out more.
The police statement in full is as follows: "We would like to speak to anyone with information after a man was found injured in Basingstoke.

"Police were called in the early hours of Saturday 2 November, just after midnight, to a report that a man in his 20s had been found in the road on Basing View.
"He had suffered injuries to his legs but at this time it is not known if he was involved in a collision, had been assaulted, or came by the injuries in another way.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of his injuries.
