Sunday morning, October 27, my husband went to put the rubbish out but to his surprise, the black bin had been stolen, so, I phoned the council and explained what had happened.
The nice lady on the phone told me that she could not put an order for a new one for me until I had paid £50 for a new one, so I informed her that I had my bin for 20 years, cleaned it and looked after it and my house number was on the front of the bin.
I told her that I am a pensioner and could not afford to pay for a new one, so I had to leave it at that and she said she was sorry, so I had to leave it at that.
What is it coming to that you have to steal a wheelie bin? Can nobody be trusted anymore?
Not happy.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Sue Doublet,
Butler Close,
Basingstoke
