A NEW pretzel stall is seeing an abundance of business as it opens in Festival Place.
Auntie Anne's new kiosk has opened in the shopping centre today, Saturday, November 9, outside Typo and Superdry.
The new kiosk comes two years after the closure of the last branch in the town.
Queues have already formed as the staff celebrate the opening of the kiosk by giving away freebies.
The grand opening included a giant pretzel-pulling ceremony. Also on offer is a free pretzel giveaway and an appearance by the brand’s mascot, Mr Twisty.
The event started at 10.45am and will finish at midday with the Mayor of Basingstoke, Cllr Dan Putty, due to attend.

This is Auntie Anne’s 39th shop to open in the UK.
As previously reported, owner of the branch, Sunil Joshi, told the Gazette that he is "excited" to open up the stall.
He said: "I am excited to welcome everyone down and open this stall, we will be open for business seven days a week.
"I am excited to open up, we already have lots of people interested in visiting, lots have taken pictures when they walked past.
"I want to assure people that the stall will be up to the high standard as it should be, we are training our staff to meet the standards of the business to deliver good food."
