A community fireworks event has raised more than £13,000 to help a school.

The Bramley Bonfire and Fireworks Night took place on Saturday, November 2, with Redrow Southern Counties donating £500 towards the volunteer-led event.

The evening was organised by the Bramley School Association to raise money for Bramley Church of England Primary School.

The event included a torchlit parade, food stalls and a fireworks display.

The evening raised £13,625 in total which will be used to update and replace playground equipment (Image: Redrow) Christine Delve, treasurer at the Bramley School Association, said: "We are incredibly thankful to Redrow for its donation, which played a vital role in making this year’s event a reality.

"Redrow’s support helped us to bring the community together for a memorable night while raising funds."

The evening raised £13,625 in total which will be used to update and replace playground equipment.
